With Mother's Day upon us, this one goes out to all the mommies in the place with style and grace. Of course, you don't need to be a parent to indulge in a little #SelfLoveSunday action!
Here are 5 ways we plan to indulge in a little self love this weekend:
1. DIY Hair Mask
Curly girl Vanessa @thedelanoys recently shared a great DIY on her Instagram page, which you can quickly whip up with ingredients you've likely already got hanging around the kitchen:- 2 Avocados 🥑
- 3 tbsp Organic Honey
- 3 caps Apple Cider Vinegar
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Keep in fridge until ready to apply.

2: Pearly Whites
Got that hair mask in? Cool. So right about now, we pop on some whitestrips to brighten up those pearlies.
Looking for a more natural tooth whitening solution? Try mixing 2 tsp coconut oil with 1 tsp baking soda and make a paste to brush your teeth with. Voilá! Natural whitening without the use of any harsh ingredients.
3: Get Glowy
A really easy DIY beauty fix that is brightening, hydrating, nourishing and exfoliating is to simply mix some organic honey with sea salt and apply to your skin where needed. Honey is another of our holy grail products, as it's not only a natural antioxidant and hydrator, it's also got anti-aging and anti-bacterial properties, too. What's not to love?
Yet another fan favorite is aloe vera! Not the kind you buy in a bottle (though you may be able to find a pure one - just read the label carefully!) but if you're lucky enough to get the actual leaf, even better. Split one open, scrape the jelly-like goodness out and spread that baby all over your face. Anti-aging, calming, healing, anti-bacterial, and so much more more. Your skin will thank you!
4. Sugaring Off
Another #DIY beauty remedy here! Mix sugar (any kind will do) with some olive oil to form a scrub and let the sloughing begin. We like to begin at the bottom (footsie/ankels) and work our way up. This sugar scrub is best done in the shower as it can get a little messy, but you'll thank us later when you feel how smooth your skin can be. It also makes an awesome lip scrub for chapped lips!
NOTE: In the shower, after scrubbing, is typically when we'd remove the white strips and rinse out our hair and face masks also.
5. "Heeling" Touch
Last but certainly not least, let's take care of those tired paws! Apply a generous amount of coconut oil to those freshly exfoliated feet, and put on your favorite fuzzy socks. You can even sleep with them on overnight for extra absorption.
Self-Love is the best love, right? At the end of this routine, your curls will be popping, skin glowing, teeth shining. A little TLC on a regular basis is key.
